Chinese scientists invented bendable mobile phone raw materials

Date:2017-08-29

Scientists in China have developed a new material which is said to have the world's highest thermal conductivity, such as a diamond, but with extreme flexibility, reports the Qianjiang Evening News.
The advanced graphene design has been developed by researchers at Zhejiang University.
It's expected to have multiple applications, including in electronics and space technology. It's being suggested this new material can be used to make mobile phones bendable. The material can also have applications for spacecraft, as it can withstand higher temperatures.
The new breakthrough is how the graphene molecules are laid out, reports the Qianjiang Evening News.
A team at Zhejiang University has created a membrane-like structure with the graphene.
This allows the material to withstand extreme temperatures. Researchers say the material can also remain unbroken after being folded 6,000 times, and bent 100,000 times.
The new discovery was posted on the latest version of Advanced Materials, a world-leading scientific journal on material science.
